Family Mediation Associates has been created to help family members resolve conflicts quickly. If you and your family are experiencing what seem to be irreconcilable differences, this is the path for you. In a non-adversarial, caring and structured environment our process will help you reach a mutually satisfactory agreement that is tailored to meet your family's unique needs. We are available to assist with conflict resolution pertaining to all family related concerns, including divorce. Family Mediation Associates is an association of professional mediators led by its Founder and President, Joseph W. Ferra, M.S., M.F.T.

Mr. Ferra has served as a Superior Court Mediation Specialist for Kern and Los Angeles Counties and is an experienced mediator in family matters. Mr. Ferra earned his Mediation Credential and his Advanced Divorce Mediation Credential at UCLA.

Marital mediation begins with one 3-hour session. During that time, an exhaustive list of all of the problems, issues, and concerns family members have will be identified and discussed. Through our professionally facilitated mediation process participants maintain open communication, working toward a collaborative resolution. Upon completion of marital mediation, participants leave with a detailed plan that is documented so that long-term resolution is found, and immediate improvements are realized thereby enhancing future communication and interaction.
